Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging biology lessons for KS3 and KS4 students, bringing the subject to life with interactive, hands-on learning.
Help students understand core concepts of biology, from cell biology to ecosystems, genetics, human biology, and everything in between.
Foster critical thinking and scientific inquiry, encouraging students to ask questions and develop a deep understanding of biological principles.
Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, engagement, and scientific exploration.
Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure that the biology curriculum is delivered effectively and aligns with the school's wider educational goals.
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
A strong passion for biology and the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts in an engaging and accessible way.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
A commitment to scientific inquiry and a desire to inspire students to think critically and creatively about science.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
