The School and Role

A brilliant inclusive primary school in the heart of Sheffield. A primary school that centres everything around the progress of children in all key stages; with an ethos that all children will achieve highly from whatever their starting point given the right levels of support and inspiration and each child has many talents that can be discovered and grown. The required post holder would need a good understanding of children’s development in the key stages with Phonics being a key element. The curriculum here is a STEM rich curriculum, with links to the local universities

The successful Year 5 Teaching Assistant will be working five days a week. You will provide general classroom support for a Year 5 class as well as some small group work. The role would suit someone with excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, ideally someone who has worked in Year 5 recently.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

-          Experience of working with primary school aged children

-          Experience of working with pupils with SEND

-          A passion for the progress of primary school pupils

-          An ability to work as part of a team
