Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm

The School and Role

Vision for Education are currently working with various schools based in the Sheffield area which cater for young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties that works in partnership to provide alternative education pathways. This role involves working with Children with SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental health issues) and EBD (Emotional Behavioural difficulties).  This role requires a committed, empathetic, enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant with great communication skills that has experience working with Children with behaviours that challenge.  You will be able to engage children that have become disengaged from Education and encourage and offer them support and guidance.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Previous experience of working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable
  • Experience of working with pupils with social emotional mental health difficulties
  • A passion for the progress disengaged students  
  • An ability to work as part of a team
