Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a key role in supporting students across Years 7 to 11, helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work alongside teachers to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, providing both academic and pastoral support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons, ensuring students remain engaged and supported.
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and boost confidence.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) or those requiring additional help.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with behaviour management and promote a culture of respect and enthusiasm for learning.
- Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and areas for development.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with students.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in students’ lives.
- A relevant qualification in education or child development is advantageous but not essential.
