I am working alongside a local government organisation based in the South Yorkshire area who are looking to add a Payroll Manager to their large established team.
They are going through a period of change and are looking for an experienced candidate in this role or to step up from a leadership position to support the team and wider organisation.
Key Duties/Tasks:
- Technical skills: relevant systems preferred & excel
- Support the busy payroll department
- High volume, fast paced role
- Provide comprehensive advice to employees in relation to payroll queries.
- Working to deadlines
- Manual calculations of tax
- Public sector payroll experience preferred but not essential
- Leadership and/or management experience essential

Normal working hours are 37 hours per week, 9:00am to 5.00pm with flexitime option and 1-hour unpaid break.
