Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well known and reputable business in Sheffield as they look to recruit a new Payroll Manager into the team. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of a monthly payroll for approximately 300+ employees. The hours are 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday (35 hours per week) and there is opportunity to work from home 1 day per week.  The company offers some excellent benefits which include: -

Duties will include: - 

  • Direct line management of 1 member of staff 
  • Undertake and lead payroll processing for the company
  • Budgeting and reporting on variances 
  • Control and oversee the time and attendance system 
  • Understand and lead on taxation and engage with HMRC on tax issues
  • Produce monthly insights into staffing costs
  • Processing of P11ds 
  • Calculate holiday accruals 
  • Ensure that all correspondence and queries are dealt with in a timely manner

To be successful you will possess the following skills and experiences: - 

  • At least 3 years experience in Payroll (end to end)
  • Previous supervisory experience in payroll
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and cope well under pressure
  • Hold or working towards a professional payroll qualification (Preferable) 
  • Sage Payroll 50 experience (Preferable)
