KO2's client, a pioneering company founded in 2017, is seeking a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join their fully remote team. With a competitive salary range of £55,000 to £70,000, depending on experience, this is an incredible opportunity to shape the future of health and safety technology!

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing the next generation of low power, IoT-connected wearable devices. You'll be working on Version 2 of an exciting product that is already gaining global attention. With no legacy code to manage, you will have the chance to engage in greenfield development and drive innovation in embedded software solutions.

About the Company: Founded by a visionary who identified a critical need for health and safety devices during charity work in Asia, KO2's client now boasts an engineering team of 15. They are committed to expanding their product roadmap into new sectors, using low power and cellular technologies to enhance the safety of individuals everywhere.

The Role: As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with a team of engineers, including Mechanical and Electronics Engineers. Your technical expertise in RTOS development and wireless/cellular devices will be crucial as you contribute to the safety-critical nature of this innovative product.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Embedded C/C++
  • RTOS development - FreeRTOS, Zephyr or similar
  • A solid understanding of electronics and wireless communication (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular).
  • Experience in developing embedded software for Safety Critical industries (e.g., IEC62304, MISRA) is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with GNSS/GPS is a plus.
