Your new companyAn extremely successful manufacturing business in S20 area of Sheffield, looking for a technical advisor to join their team.Your new roleAs Technical advisor, you will be dealing with customers in various ways, the phone, email and other platforms, to help with complex technical issues. You could be speaking to trades people (who know their stuff!) or consumers who may not know their stuff! This will be a customer service role but not one that involves lots of order processing or arranging couriers. This is most definitely a technical position, so you must want to develop your technical understanding and help others troubleshoot. This will be an exciting opportunity as, eventually, you will become the in-house trainer on the product.Duties

  • Translating technical knowledge into simple language for people to solve issues
  • Provide comprehensive technical support to customers and colleagues
  • Giving excellent customer service every time
  • Inputting information to Salesforce and SAP
  • Actively building relationships with the team, internal and external stakeholders
  • Training new starters and keeping the company abreast of the new product technical information
  • Supporting learning and development of training materials

This will be an office-based position, Mon - Thursday 8 until 5 and Friday 8 until 4What you'll need to succeedYou must have worked in a similar role that has a technical customer service aspect to it. You may have worked in white goods and are now looking for a Monday to Friday position. You will be good with systems, whilst ideally you will have used Salesforce or SAP, these can be trained. It is more important that you pick things up at pace. You will need patience, superb communication skills and be prepared to train colleagues.
