Senior Network architect - Sheffield - 70-80K
We are seeking a Senior Network Architect for an established client in the Technology sector to join their internal IT department on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage the organization's network and communication systems, ensuring a robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure that meets operational needs. The Network and Communications Architect will collaborate with other IT teams to integrate new technologies and optimize existing systems for enhanced performance and reliability.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Planning: Develop and plan the layout and configuration of the organization's network infrastructure.
- Technology Management: Utilize Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco Webex Calling, Zscaler, and Meraki to implement innovative networking solutions.
- Technology Evaluation: Research and assess new networking technologies, products, and services for potential integration into the organization's infrastructure.
- Security Management: Implement security measures and protocols to safeguard the network from cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches.
- Network Infrastructure: Oversee WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and video conferencing, with an understanding of networking concepts within cloud computing environments.
- Supplier Management: Manage relationships with external suppliers and vendors, ensuring compliance with contracts and negotiating terms for optimal value.
- Expertise in Network Architecture: Leverage extensive experience in designing and implementing network, telephony, and video conferencing infrastructures, aligned with industry best practices to deliver a range of IT services.
