We are representing a valued client in their search for a Network Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic, cross-functional environment, contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, high-performance network infrastructures.
The successful candidate will play a key role in configuring and troubleshooting complex network environments, collaborating with architects and developers to align network solutions with business objectives, and implementing automation to optimise operations.

- Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure to support various projects
- Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues efficiently
- Work closely with network architects, software developers, and operations teams to align networking objectives with business goals
- Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve hardware or software issues
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewall configurations and policy enforcement
- Utilise network monitoring tools to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues
- Develop and test network automation scripts using Ansible, Python, and REST APIs
- Strong understanding of IP routing, TCP/IP, and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
- Network automation experience using Ansible, Python, and REST APIs
- Experience with virtual network environments such as Cisco ACI and NSX
- Hands-on experience in network security, with a focus on firewall design and implementation
- Knowledge of containerised environments and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (a plus)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to document and share technical insights
