Assembly Team Leader
Sheffield
Salary: £32,000

Adept are pleased to have been retained by a Sheffield based global leader in the design and manufacture of the most advanced and comprehensive portfolio of tyre inflation and compressed air products on the market. We need a confident, experienced team leader who is a great communicator and will actively listen, foster engagement and commitment within the team. An understanding of lean/ 5s principles, IOSH Managing safety trained with proven experience in Team Leading within a manufacturing environment are essential

Role overview:
Lead and manage the assembly of Capital Equipment & Dig Mech Meters (e.g., Tower tyre inflators, Nitrogen carts, meters) to meet targets. Ensure safety compliance, productivity, and quality standards are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize productivity and maintain stock levels.
  • Develop production plans and allocate resources.
  • Monitor production, ensuring quality with minimal scrap/rework.
  • Lead and motivate the assembly team, manage training, performance, and discipline.
  • Maintain equipment and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with HR/HS&E policies and communicate effectively with teams.


Skills & Experience:

  • Manufacturing experience with process knowledge.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Leadership experience with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
  • Risk assessment and safety management skills (IOSH preferred).
