This position seeks a dedicated and skilled NPI Engineer to join the Engineering & Manufacturing team in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing innovative products and ensuring their successful introduction into the market.

Description

  • Develop and implement new product introduction (NPI) strategies, including CAD Design, SOP writing, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and other engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain) to ensure the timely and successful delivery of new products.
  • Oversee all aspects of the product lifecycle, from initial concept and design to market launch, ensuring technical feasibility and design for manufacturability.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues impacting product performance, including design modifications and process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery throughout the product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations, conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure smooth product launch, managing timelines, resources, and technical support.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, outlining key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Profile

A successful NPI Engineer should have:

  • A degree in Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in CAD software
