Adept is excited to partner with a well-established manufacturer in the Sheffield area that specialises in producing specialist equipment. Due to a growing order book, they are now seeking to add a Senior Assembly Operative to their team.
SHIFTS - Monday- Friday- DAYS - Early finish on a Friday!
Salary - £Competitive DOE
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Liaising with the production team and Field Engineers to ensure orders are on track and correct.
- Use hand and power tools to fit, fasten, and align parts in the assembly process.
- Ensure all assembled products meet quality standards and function correctly.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Identify and report any defects or discrepancies during the assembly process.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure a smooth workflow and address any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Comply with company policies and regulations related to assembly processes and equipment operation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in an assembly role.
- Ideally people management experience.
- A wide understanding of mechanical components and their assembly.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
