Adept is excited to partner with a well-established manufacturer in the Sheffield area that specialises in producing specialist equipment. Due to a growing order book, they are now seeking to add a Senior Assembly Operative to their team.

SHIFTS - Monday- Friday- DAYS - Early finish on a Friday!

Salary - £Competitive DOE

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Liaising with the production team and Field Engineers to ensure orders are on track and correct.
  • Use hand and power tools to fit, fasten, and align parts in the assembly process.
  • Ensure all assembled products meet quality standards and function correctly.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Identify and report any defects or discrepancies during the assembly process.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure a smooth workflow and address any issues that may arise.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Comply with company policies and regulations related to assembly processes and equipment operation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in an assembly role.
  • Ideally people management experience.
  • A wide understanding of mechanical components and their assembly.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
