Role: Mechanical Fitter

A market-leading UK company specialising in the design, supply, installation, and servicing of advanced pumping systems is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join their team.
About the Position
This role involves working closely with an electrical site engineer to install, commission, and service pumping and related equipment. Based in Sheffield, the position offers nationwide travel and occasional overnight stays (expenses fully covered), providing an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer ready to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
路Attending installations and responding to breakdowns across the UK as required.
路Servicing, repairing, and assembling a variety of pumping equipment.
路Participating in a rota system to provide standby cover on weekends and bank holidays.
路Completing detailed site reports and obtaining customer signatures for submission.
路Representing the company professionally and promoting its products and services.
路Ensuring company vehicles are stocked with the necessary tools and equipment.
路Identifying and addressing training needs.
Additional Duties
路Maintaining and improving company procedures where possible.
路Observing and adhering to Health & Safety policies.
路Undertaking other duties as required by the business.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
路A mechanical qualification.
Desirable Qualifications:
路Confined space training.
路First Aid certification.
路CSCS and SSSTS cards.
Working Conditions
路Nationwide travel with occasional overnight stays (expenses fully covered).
