My client is a leading company in the supply and service of pumping equipment, seeking a dynamic Mechanical Fitter to join their external site teams.
The role involves installing, commissioning, and servicing pumping equipment, requiring the candidate to stay away from home 1-2 nights per week and be available for weekend standby cover.
Candidates should ideally have a background in pumps or other mechanical engineering disciplines, with desirable qualifications including confined space training and First Aid.
The position offers a salary ranging from £12.90 to £18.00 per hour, along with a bonus scheme and additional benefits such as private healthcare and 30 days of holiday.
A UK driving license is required, and applicants should have relevant experience in mechanical fitting, ideally with at least a few years in a related field.

My client is a market leading company in the supply, manufacture, design, install and service of pumping equipment. Due to ongoing success they are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our external site teams.

Joining an exciting and fast-paced external team, the ideal candidate will be a motivated individual working alongside an electrical site engineer, installing, commissioning and servicing of pumping and related equipment.

Mechanical Fitter Position Overview

Attend nationwide installation and breakdowns when necessary and ensure that company call out policy is maintained
Service, repair and assembly of pumps and pumping equipment
Be prepared to stay away from home when required, at least 1-2 nights per week
When requested be available on a rota basis to provide standby cover over weekends and bank holidays
Maintain company procedures and improve where possible
Complete site reports after each visit, obtain a customer signature and submit promptly
Be a good ambassador for the company, promoting all products and services at every opportunity
Ensure that the company vehicle is stocked and van-stock and tools required at all times
Identify training needs

Mechanical Fitter Position Requirements

Ideally a background in pumps, however other mechanical engineering/fitting backgrounds considered
Confined space training - Desirable
First Aid - Desirable
CSCS - Desirable
SSSTS - Desirable
UK Driving licence

Mechanical Fitter Position Remuneration

Salary: £12.90 - £18.00/hr + bonus scheme

Hours will vary depending on the day, but typically 07:00 - 17:00
