Nicholas Howard Limited are delighted to be recruiting for a new and exciting role as a Roving Mortgage Underwriter, working with a fast growing specialist residential lender. As the business scales, we are looking to add a field based underwriter to work with brokers, packagers and wider intermediary partners to help support and train them around the products, cases and underwriting approaches, to create a mutually beneficial improvement to the quality of the business.

So what do we need? You don't have to have been a roving underwriter before, however, the role will involve regular weekly travel and plenty of time spent working on site with brokers, so we need you to be comfortable working and engaging with brokers. There are likely to be opportunities to hold workshops, underwriting clinics, or online web delivered training sessions, so you also need to be comfortable and enjoy teaching, or presenting and discussing with customers. Any specialist mortgage lending experience would be great, resi, BTL, adverse, 1st or 2nd charge, or all of the above welcome!

The role is to cover the North of England, so we are fairly open on location, although there are likely to be regular visits expected around Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Derby, so ideally being well located for this would be a benefit.

The role will provide an exciting and interesting opportunity to be part of a rapidly developing new team and proposition, built off the back of an already successfully established lender. You will get to really work closely with external partners, help feedback to the business on market product response, and have a great input in to helping shape proposition and criteria as the growth continues.

If you'd be interested in applying for the role, please send CV in the first instance.
