Paint Sprayer / Shot Blaster
Due to expansion we have an opening for an experienced Industrial Paint Sprayer / Shot Blaster to work in a workshop environment on interesting and varied work. Successful candidates must have previous experience in painting and material preparation, preferably within a manufacturing engineering business, and have the ability to use power tools to create a high-quality finished product. We would expect the successful person to take the lead on this new venture and be able to work on their own initiative under minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a competency through experience and be expected to produce work within the required time frame whilst consistently achieving our quality standards. Main duties will include material preparation including abrasive blasting, wet paint spraying and sanding and de-burring, of a wide range of products. Other duties may include material movement, general housekeeping and a willingness to undertake various duties in the workshop..
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 12 months previous experience
- Experience of wet paint spraying for corrosive protection of steel and/or aluminum.
- Experience in industrial spraying to a high standard.
- An ability to prepare raw materials within the finishing department and mix different types of industrial paint.
- Experience of using 2 pack epoxy paint.
- Experienced in using power tools
- Clean worker
- Good attention to detail / quality
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Overhead crane operating experience
- Shot Blasting experience would be advantageous but not essential as training would be given
- A current FLT licence would be advantageous but not essential.
Personal Qualities Required:
- A team player willing to assist and help fellow colleagues in other departments.
- A good verbal communicator
