They offer 24/7 client care, ensuring their clients are at the centre of what they do.The Court of Protection team are looking to expand to include an experienced Senior Associate with a background of work in either Court of Protection or Private client work such as; Power of Attorney or deputyship applications etc. The successful candidate will be joining a team of like-minded individuals who uphold the firms values and put their clients at the heart of what they do. The team handles cases from those individuals who lack the mental capacity to do so themselves, relating to the management of finances and other affairsAs one of the UK’s leading firms of solicitors, they have a dedicated and experienced team who specialise in all matters relating to the Court of Protection, in property and affairs specifically. You’ll be leading a team of colleagues with a high level of accountability. You’ll be hands on with business development activity and leading on client work. You’ll understand litigation processes and be able to work alongside our Personal Injury Litigation team and Court of Protection team. You’ll undertake high value and/or complex work within court of Protection and some experience with supervising or managing more junior members of the team will be beneficial. Your role will involve:
  • Team leadership responsibilities
  • Working with our Personal Injury litigation team
  • Take instructions from clients and give legal advice
  • To meet all cost/fee targets where set
  • Actively support practice development and cross-selling
About You
  • 8 - 12 years PQE, with a Court of Protection background
  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience in business development is essential
  • Understanding litigation processes alongside Court of Protection work
  • Some experience with Mental Capacity Work
