Service care solutions are currently working alongside a forward thinking local authority based in Sheffield. They are looking for a governance lawyer to join their growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to work amongst legal experts and progress your career.

This role pays a competitive rate of £45 - £55 an hour umbrella depending on experience.

This role is on a temporary basis with potential to be long term.

Responsibilities as a Governance lawyer:

  • Advising on the legal requirements of the Council's constitution and contributing to a review of the constitution
  • Drafting policy documents and protocols connected with the operation of the constitution and the committee system
  • Able to attend meetings as required
  • Managing files and handling caseloads from start to completion

About you as a Governance Lawyer:

  • Experience in drafting local authority constitutions
  • Good communication skills written and Verbal
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or legal executive with experience in Governance Law.
