Are you an experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor or Legal Counsel looking for an exciting new opportunity within the legal field? Our client, an international law firm, is seeking to hire a skilled Legal Counsel to join their dynamic in-house team in Yorkshire.

As a Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing a diverse workload related to insurance and commercial litigation internally for our client. Drawing on your expertise, you will provide high-quality legal advice and representation, ensuring the organisation's best interests are protected.

To be successful in this role, you should possess a proven track record of advising and representing large organisations on commercial litigation or insurance litigation matters. Your ability to build strong relationships and act as an effective brand ambassador for our client will be crucial. Additionally, your strong client service orientation, commercial acumen, and analytical skills will set you apart.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and collaborate with senior legal counsel and paralegals to ensure the delivery of high-quality work.Identify and mitigate legal risks, implementing best practises and policies.Provide strategic input to the team's key functions and explore technology-driven solutions.Take a commercial and practical approach, offering innovative solutions.Develop effective relationships with partners, fee earners, and business services teams.Assist in drafting reports for the Executive and Board.Work closely with the Legal, Risk Management, and Compliance team on project and non-project work.

Requirements:

Ability to work effectively at all levels, building relationships internally and externally.Strong client service orientation and problem-solving skills.Commercial acumen and analytical skills.Ability to multitask and prioritise conflicting deadlines.Financial literacy and technological savvy.Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
