The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Senior Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to lead a small team in our Sheffield office. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive legal expertise to advise clients on a wide range of private client matters, including probate, inheritance tax planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and will drafting. You will also mentor your team, strategize on complex legal issues, manage client relationships, and effectively communicate intricate legal concepts.

As our firm continues to attract new clients, you will play a key role in supporting individuals, families, trustees, accountants, independent financial advisors, and other professionals. You will have opportunities to engage in Court of Protection cases and Trust matters. Our investment in advanced IT systems enhances our operational efficiencies, allowing you to focus on client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a small Private Client team.
  • Advise clients on diverse private client matters.
  • Foster a collaborative environment through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure exceptional service.
  • Ensure efficient handling of legal matters, maintaining accurate documentation and billing processes.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and strengthen client relationships.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of private client experience and a strong track record in business development.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage legal matters efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, adept at building relationships with clients, including high-net-worth individuals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other IT systems.
  • A full driving licence and access to your own transport for client meetings.
  • Membership in STEP is advantageous.
