Elevation Recruitment Group are exclusively partnered with a large, very successful manufacturer in Sheffield who are looking for a Quality Engineer to join the team. The £85 million turnover business manufacture high-volume products which are supplied Worldwide to a variety of industries including rail and automotive. 

The main job purpose of the Quality Engineer will be to support the development and management of their QMS whilst liaising cross-functionally across all levels of the business. Under the direction of the Quality Manager, you will continuously improve compliance systems, strengthen quality awareness, and investigate quality issues using applicable process improvement and problem-solving techniques. Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Experience working with ISO 9001 and within highly-regulated industries
  • Determining, negotiating, and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications, working with operation team to establish these in each process.
  • Have a demonstrable record of previous audit and compliance roles including support for one or more ISO / Quality Assurance standards.
  • Good analytical skills – to be able to break down a problem, situation, or process into its component parts, to separate the main issues from side-issues, to understand the nature of parts and their relationship to one another.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update the product / process audits and ensure that all product / process audits are undertaken, completed, and closed within agreed time frame, including managing, and supporting to solve the findings.
  • Manage the internal / external audit plan for the Quality Management System and ensure that all internal / external audits are undertaken, completed, and closed within agreed timescales. Including managing and supporting the internal / external audit team
  • Review customer returns and non-conformances from internal and external audits to identify areas of concern and drive for improvement.

I'm keen to speak to Quality Engineer's with the following skillset:

  • Some experience within Quality within a highly regulated industry 
  • Knowledge of 8D problem solving methodology
  • Excellence communication skills (internally and externally)
  • Highly Flexible and Adaptable. Able to work independently in a fast-paced multitasking environment.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001
