Day-to-Day of the Role

As a Specialist Learning Coach, you will:

  • Work directly with pupils who have social, emotional, and mental health needs, providing tailored support and guidance.
  • Create and implement effective strategies to enhance pupils’ learning experiences and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to plan and coordinate support across various settings within the school.
  • Engage with pupils through one-on-one sessions and group activities, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of pupils, adapting approaches as needed to meet their evolving needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Specialist Learning Coach or similar role, particularly in an SEN setting.
  • Confidence and dedication to go above and beyond in supporting children with special needs.
  • Team Teach qualification is preferable.
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
