Adept Resourcing Engineering Division are a working with a bespoke manufacturer based in Sheffield, seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join their team. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for machining components to a high standard, ensuring customer requirements and quality specifications are met. You will work with high-grade materials, including Inconel 718, and play an essential role in producing high-quality, precision parts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture components from engineering drawings, adhering to company quality procedures.
* Ensure the workspace maintains high housekeeping standards to promote a safe and clean environment.
* Interpret engineering drawings to meet customer specifications and produce components to the required standards.
* Operate manual lathes and related machinery with precision, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in production.
* Machine materials such as Inconel 718, ensuring high-quality results in line with industry standards.
Skills, experience & attributes:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Effective communication skills
* Flexible and adaptable to changing demands
* Strong problem-solving abilities
* Produce components within estimated production times while maintaining the correct standards.
* Efficiently machine high-grade materials, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Proven experience operating manual lathes.
* Strong working knowledge of tooling applications and machine tool capabilities, including tool feed and speeds necessary for efficient cycle times.
Benefits:
* Salary Range: £28,000 - £29,000 per annum
* Hours: 40 hours per week;
* Days: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
* Nights: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM (Shift Allowance of 33%)
