Production Planner£30,000Sheffield, South Yorkshire Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing aerospace business in the search for a Production Planner to be based in their Sheffield site. The client is a highly specialised components manufacturer and supplier, focussed on aerofoil and rotative components. They are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to providing an efficient and low-cost service to their customers across the aerospace, defence, and energy sectors.

The Position of Production Planner

  • Planning, Scheduling and coordinating production of all products in the agreed fixed window
  • Look at manning capacity and advise on requirements to achieve plan
  • Introduce root cause analysis for any planning/ production issues
  • Project management – Control and support continuous improvement projects
  • The Production Planner will monitor and maintain production schedule
  • Support and update master schedule
  • Raise works orders and work to lists as required – Ensure production have requirements to achieve schedule
  • Gather information as requested for meetings and relevant stakeholders
  • Introduce productivity improvements in production
  • Liaise with Purchasing/ Supply chain Department for all materials and tooling requirements ensuring all are on site before orders are planned into production
  • Support in subcontract order management
  • Support in any ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Lead weekly schedule review with all stakeholders to review for potential issues and highlight important orders within the fixed window
  • Introduce planning mechanisms to the role and embed repeatable planning processes

Person Spec for Production Planner

  • Highly motivated individual
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Apprenticed trained or time served experience. (If applicable)
  • Educated to a Grade C or above in English and Mathematics at GCSE Level or equivalent
  • Ability to manage own time and workload effectively
