Description
Commercial Officer - Key Responsibilities:
- Support the commercial aspects of our finance system, focusing on contract management and procurement processes.
- Lead and manage complex or high-risk contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, helping to meet commercial objectives and timelines.
- Provide advice on procurement activities, ensuring compliance with internal guidance and relevant legislation.
- Conduct research on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
- Act as a subject matter expert for commercial matters, driving value and operational improvements.
- Contribute to the development of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes.
- Support colleagues in managing contracts and mitigating risks, offering coaching where necessary.
- Collaborate on contract assurance reviews to ensure performance metrics are met and underperformance is addressed.

Commercial Officer - Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in contract development and negotiation.
- Strong understanding of complex contract documents and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a small team.
