Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a prestigious manufacturing business based in Sheffield as they look to further strengthen their technical division in 2024 through the appointment of several Manufacturing Engineers.  The successful candidate will become part of an exciting and growing business with significant investment and access to the company’s great benefits package. Manufacturing Engineer role & responsibilities:  We are looking for an ambitious and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join the team to provide support to the business in relation to Engineering, providing a high-quality service to highly regulated industry. The successful candidate will be required to successfully implement machining strategies (CAD CAM) in order to manufacture components to customer specification.

  • Create Manufacturing Methods
  • Produce CNC programs using Siemens NX
  • Simulation of CNC Programs using Vericut
  • Provide technical support and expertise to the production team
  • Produce technical production documentation, SOP’s, Tooling sheets, inspection sheets etc.
  • Design and development of work holding methods including technical drawings
  • Understanding of measurement methods and techniques
  • Interpretation of technical drawings
  • Provide technical support to projects and commercial teams
  • Perform any other duties which may be reasonably associated with the job in order to meet the needs of the company

The successful Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Highly motivated individual
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Degree/ Apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering or related field
  • Ideally a minimum of 2-3 years' industrial experience
  • Strong knowledge of CNC Machining
  • 3 to 5 years' CAD / CAM experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage own time and workload effectively
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
