Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer with a global presence. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer, or a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with a Mechanical bias, to maintain and repair their manufacturing machinery.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, Days and Nights (12 hour shifts: 6.00am 6.00pm / 6.00pm 6.00am)

Salary: £46,548 including shift allowance.

This role is based at Hazlehead (S36).

Responsibilities:

To undertake electrical engineering activities and assist in planned, unplanned and improvement work, in line with equipment and schedule attainment, taking into consideration any legal requirements
Supporting shift engineers to maintain plant and equipment, customer service and required OEE
Maintain PPM schedule attainment
Maintain plant and equipment OEEs
Pro-active / re-active monitoring
To advise and assist the Production Team to ensure that all products are made to the highest possible yield and product quality standards
To ensure that the efficiency of the process is maintained at all times
To participate in all training programs including the training of others
Drive continuous improvement across site
Be involved with project work as and when required

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, OR an ONC Mechanical qualification, OR HNC Mechanical qualification, OR a time served Mechanical Engineer / Multi-skilled Engineer / Shift Engineer / Mechanical Fitter.
Previous experience of working on maintenance within a manufacturing / production / factory environment.
