Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Salary: £45,000 - £47,000

Shift: Monday to Friday - 3 Shift Pattern

Key Responsibilities for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Perform regular maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to prevent breakdowns.
  • Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and manage repair schedules.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless operation and address any urgent repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work shifts and be on-call for emergency repairs.
