Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000
Shift: Monday to Friday - 3 Shift Pattern
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in an industrial manufacturing plant. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring our plant runs efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
- Perform regular maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to prevent breakdowns.
- Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and manage repair schedules.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless operation and address any urgent repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance techniques.
- Flexibility: Ability to work shifts and be on-call for emergency repairs.
