They are an innovative and forward-thinking company, offering exciting career prospects with opportunities for growth and development.They are now seeking a proactive Reliability Maintenance Engineering Planner to support their engineering team by improving asset reliability and optimizing maintenance cost efficiency. This role is crucial in defining, implementing, and scheduling preventive maintenance plans to enhance operational effectiveness. Additionally, the successful candidate will be the department lead for the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), providing training and support while managing administrative tasks to assist daily engineering operations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyse equipment performance data, identifying problems and implementing solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Prioritise asset importance using FMEA/FMECA assessment methodologies.
  • Lead Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) initiatives to improve engineering processes.
  • Integrate root cause analysis and continuous improvement strategies into maintenance plans.
  • Ensure lessons learned from maintenance activities and breakdowns are reflected in maintenance strategies.
  • Understand and incorporate statutory and mandatory regulations, such as PUWER, ATEX, LOLER, and COSHH, into asset maintenance strategies.
  • Oversee CMMS scheduling to maximize equipment availability.
  • Plan and coordinate major engineering plant shutdowns efficiently.
  • Drive and support change management initiatives within the engineering team.
  • Maintain accurate records of stores inventory, ensuring new items are added as required.
  • Manage the procurement process, tracking and placing orders as needed.
  • Serve as the CMMS subject matter expert (SME), providing training and escalating system issues when necessary.
What We’re Looking For:To succeed in this role, you should have:
  • A BTEC National qualification (or equivalent) and a proven track record in executing maintenance plans.
  • Experience in change management and continuous improvement, ideally holding a Lean6 Yellow3+ certification (ISO 18404:2015 Lean6 Yellow Belt).
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following areas:
    • Asset Management, Maintenance & Reliability (IOM3)
      • Fundamentals of Asset Management
      • Maintenance Strategy Development
      • Reliability-Centered Maintenance
      • Failure Investigation & Analysis
    • Maintenance Management (IMechE)
      • World-Class Maintenance
      • RCM & RBM (Reliability-Centered & Risk-Based Maintenance)
      • Asset Management
      • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
      • Total Productive Maintenance
  • A strong understanding of health & safety regulations, including business standards and statutory legislation, ideally holding an IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
