Are you an experienced Welding Engineer with a passion for quality, process improvement, and technical excellence?
We have an exciting opportunity to join a manufacturing business in Sheffield where you will work as part of their Special Process team. On a contract basis, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance, maintaining accreditations, and driving process improvements. This is expected to be between 3-6 months.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure all welding processes comply with customer and third-party requirements (e.g., NADCAP, ISO14001)
- Lead and support NADCAP audits, ensuring the site is prepared and actions are managed effectively
- Investigate quality failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Support welding-related elements of P1 projects to drive process improvements and efficiency gains
- Provide technical support for new product and process introductions
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to best practices
- Liaise with external bodies to stay up to date with the latest welding specifications and technologies
- Provide technical input and justifications to support capital investment processes
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of NADCAP, ISO14001, and other relevant accreditations
- Ability to investigate quality issues and drive continuous improvement
- Experience supporting audits and working with regulatory bodies
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to process optimisation
