Are you an experienced Welding Engineer with a passion for quality, process improvement, and technical excellence?

We have an exciting opportunity to join a manufacturing business in Sheffield where you will work as part of their Special Process team. On a contract basis, you'll play a key role in ensuring compliance, maintaining accreditations, and driving process improvements. This is expected to be between 3-6 months.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure all welding processes comply with customer and third-party requirements (e.g., NADCAP, ISO14001)
  • Lead and support NADCAP audits, ensuring the site is prepared and actions are managed effectively
  • Investigate quality failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Support welding-related elements of P1 projects to drive process improvements and efficiency gains
  • Provide technical support for new product and process introductions
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to best practices
  • Liaise with external bodies to stay up to date with the latest welding specifications and technologies
  • Provide technical input and justifications to support capital investment processes

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of NADCAP, ISO14001, and other relevant accreditations
  • Ability to investigate quality issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Experience supporting audits and working with regulatory bodies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to process optimisation
