Key Objectives:
- Develop new, and maintain existing, relationships with industry experts.
- Monitor global steel market trends and regulations.
- Collect, verify and analyse market data.
- Communicate market intelligence effectively. This could include the use of foreign languages where applicable, though this is not essential.
- Write and contribute to company steel publications and news articles.
- Maintain data confidentiality and integrity.
Duties Include:
- Regular interaction with research partners and industry stakeholders to maintain up-to-date market knowledge and data.
- Collaborate internally to support market analysis.
- Active participation in industry conferences, seminars and events to expand professional networks and promote the company
- Address client enquiries and provide expert recommendations regarding the steel market.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong relationships with research partners and clients. Safeguard the confidentiality of information received.
- Manage and update your own list of research partners.
- Collaborate with price and editing teams to ensure data accuracy within the steel pricing guides
Requirements:
- Experience and expertise in the steel market or a closely related field is essential for this role, or a knowledge of metals used in the engineering industry
- High attention to detail and the ability to scrutinise steel prices, with in-depth knowledge of the steel pricing structure.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in a foreign language highly regarded.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
