My client, a well-established engineering business, is seeking to appoint a mechanical design engineer to join their expanding team.
The role requires a minimum of HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, along with experience in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks.
Responsibilities include creating and editing GA drawings and BOMs, designing bespoke components, and assessing drawing change requests.
The position involves occasional site visits with some UK travel required, approximately once a month.
The salary for this position is competitive, reflecting the experience of the candidate, ideally requiring a few years of relevant experience.

My client, a well established engineering business, seek to appoint a mechanical design engineer familiar with CAD Software to their expanding engineering team. Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will have a good grounding in general engineering principles and be familiar with 3D design using solidworks, sheet metal, fabrication and welding.Design Engineer - Mechanical Engineering - Role and Responsibilities* Create/edit GA drawings and BOMs* Design bespoke components and assemblies for multiple projects* Assess drawing change requests and action drawing revisions/calculations * Occasional site visits with some UK travel required (monthly at most)* Assist customers to solve queries on existing drawingsDesign Engineer - Mechanical Engineering - Skills and Abilities* Degree qualified ideally, HNC/HND required as a minimum, in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent* Confident user of CAD software for 3D mechanical design* Experience of sheet metal and fabrication including individual component and complex assembly* Attention to detail and excellent communication skillsDesign Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, CAD, Sheet Metal, Fabrication
