Our Client:

Innova Search are proudly partnered with a large capital equipment manufacturer who supply, install, maintain and repair specialist capital equipment to some of the largest Defence and Chemical companies around the world. The company have been operating for over 50 years and are looking to expand their internal team.

The Role:

The role is based in a dynamic department that handles all things servicing, repair and fitting. You will be working alongside a number of internal and external Engineers - some Electrical and Mechanical.

You will have direct responsibility to fit (and upgrade where necessary) the capital equipment, which includes swapping out pumps and different types of industrial sized seals and rotating equipment. You will be UK based working out of the UK HQ and Manufacturing facility in Sheffield however, some travel may be required within the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out basic mechanical testing to establish pump condition
  • Fitting and removing pumps - where needed
  • Accurately assess and observe damage and wear on various machine
  • Undertake works to a high standard on a first-time fix basis where possible
  • Submission of daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time
  • Must be methodical and accurate and make notes and reports during the disassembly process
  • Ensure exceptional levels of customer care
  • Work independently as well as part of a team

Requirements:

  • Hold a qualification in Mechanical Engineering either C&G or NVQ equivalent
  • Previous experience within a mechanical environment
  • Experience of rotating equipment as well as route cause analyses and measuring
  • Be able to travel short durations as and when required for specific site work (Commercial Vehicle supplied)
  • Use industry equipment correctly and safely during the repair process
