Elevation Recruitment Group are working exclisvely with a Sheffield based, specialist equipment manufacturer to help them recruit an Project Engineer.The Project Engineer with focus on designing, developing, integrating, and assembling systems for specialist test machinery.The successful candidate will be working in a small close-knit team in the companies’ projects in both development and production from initial designs through to on-site commissioning which has opportunities for international travel.Key Responsibilities:

  • Take part in the full project life cycle from design, systems, wiring and assembly of the companies test machinery
  • Design and develop the companies PLC programs and HMI systems working on Ladder logic systems
  • Communicate with customers on requirements, timeframes as well as repairs and installation
  • Opportunities are available to travel worldwide to customer sites for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance
  • Understand and comply with internal and external standards following the companies’ operational procedures
  • Contributing to the safe operation of the company by following the agreed health & safety guidelines
  • Creation of technical build manuals.

We're keen to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical, electrical or software engineering or HND with relevant experience
  • Background in building/assembling machinery
  • Experience in similar mechanical, electrical or software engineering
  • Proficiency in PLC and HMI systems – specifically with ladder logic (LD) to IEC 61131-3 or similar
  • Excellent team-working abilities in a project environment
  • Understanding of LabVIEW applications
  • Understanding of CAD and engineering drawings
  • Understanding of SolidWorks
  • Previous experience working with ISO 9001 or similar QA system

Benefits

  • £25,000-£34,000
  • 35 Hour flexible working week – Monday to Friday:
  • Core hours, 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday
  • Earliest start time 8:00
  • Latest finishing time 18:00
  • 33 days holiday inclusive of standard public holidays.
  • Flexitime can accrue and be spent for up to 7hrs every 4 weeks, or used for childcare, doctors’ appointments etc in ¼, ½ or full days. For up to 13 extra days off a year.
  • Workplace Personal pension Scheme with a generous, matched, 5.5% employers pension contribution.
