Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Water Treatment Engineer required to join a global, market, leading engineering supplier.

The successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Water Treatment Engineer will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance across the North UK on water treatment systems including Clarifiers, chemical dosing control panels, mix tanks for coagulation, flocculation, and pH control, plus solutions for oil removal and sludge handling and more.

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Water Treatment Engineer will ideally have service experience in water treatment or HVAC within brewery or food processing, with skills in filtration, chemical dosing, electro-mechanical systems, PLC programming, electrical fault finding, and maintenance of pumps, gearboxes, and filters. Full product training provided.

Familiarity with Yorkshire Water,United Utilities,Scottish Water,Severn Trent Water,Northumbrian Water, Thames Water or similar, along with P601s, construction site experience, and relevant certifications (EHS Card, CSCS Gold Card, STS) would be highly advantageous.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Water Treatment Engineer Role
  • Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, fault finding and maintenance across the North UK on water treatment systems at customer sites.
  • The Service Engineer will work on water treatment systems including Clarifiers, chemical dosing control panels, mix tanks for coagulation, flocculation, and pH control, plus solutions for oil removal and sludge handling and more.
  • Maintain, repair and install various water treatments systems on commercial / construction sites.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various water treatment systems.
  • Fully remote role, covering the North UK
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Water Treatment Engineer Requirements
  • Proven diagnostic skills on mechanical and/or electrical engineering products.
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Installation Engineer, Pumps Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer or similar with a strong electrical bias.
  • Service background within the pump and/or water industry on products such as pumps, pump stations, cold water boosters, HVAC systems, pressurisation units, water storage and controls, filtration or similar pump related engineering products.
  • Familiarity with Yorkshire Water,United Utilities,Scottish Water,Severn Trent Water,Northumbrian Water, Thames Water or similar, along with P601s, construction site experience, and relevant certifications (EHS Card, CSCS Gold Card, STS) would be highly advantageous.
  • Electrical qualifications, apprentice trained, NVQ level 3, 18th edition or similar
  • Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
  • Full UK driving license, willing to cover the North UK and willing to stay away when required.
