Are you a mechanical engineer with experience in engines, looking to train into as a Power Generation Engineer where you will gain a skillset within the renewable energy industry securing yourself a futureproof job?

The company are a leading landfill operator in the UK - looking to change the way waste is dealt with across the country. With zero carbon goals, this is an opportunity to join the carbon zero revolution by facilitating the conversion of waste into renewable energy on an industrial scale. In this role the person will be maintaining and servicing power generation equipment.

In this role, you will be providing essential maintenance and repairs to Gensets (Gas Reciprocating Engines, CHP Engines and more) across landfill sites.

This is the ideal role for mechanical engineers with experience in engines looking to receive training into heavy industrial work. You will be looking to gain a skillset within the Power Generation sector, gaining a secure job for life due to the futureproof nature of both the industry and equipment you will be trained on.

The Role:

  • Service and maintenance of heavy industrial engines, along with other power generation equipment such as CHP engines, Gas Reciprocating Engines and more.
  • Preventative, reactive and breakdown services.
  • Fault diagnosis - with record keeping and log taking.
  • 1 in 5 call out rota - paid at a standby rate AND enhanced rate.

The Candidate:

  • Mechanical Engineer - experience in maintenance and repair.
  • Time served or qualified.
  • Experience in petrol / diesel engine maintenance / overhauls / repairs.
  • Perfect for those in army, REME, HGV Mechanics, Power Generation, agricultural or heavy plant industries.
