Key Responsibilities of an Account Manager:

  • Promote, present, and sell products to depots and customers nationwide, ensuring that the company’s offerings are effectively communicated and aligned with client needs.
  • Travel to visit customers onsite at various locations across the UK, providing face-to-face support, fostering relationships, and identifying business development opportunities.
  • Provide accurate quotations in a timely manner, coordinating with the engineering and technical teams to ensure that customer requests are fully understood and met.
  • Follow-up on quotations, keeping clients informed and supported throughout the process, and ensuring any questions or concerns are addressed efficiently.
  • Maintain and develop strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact and ensuring long-term client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify new sales opportunities through regular customer interactions, attending industry events, and understanding the market landscape.

Requirements of an Account Manager:

  • Previous experience as an Account Manager, preferably within the engineering or technical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of account management principles and a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Experience in working with technical or engineering products, with the ability to discuss product details confidently and accurately with customers.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanour, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team player who can collaborate effectively with various departments, particularly with engineering and production teams.
  • A full UK driving license is required, as regular travel is an integral part of the role.
