Position: Production Manager
Location: Sheffield

About the role:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the production team
- Provide leadership and guidance to Team Leaders in individual production areas
- Co-ordinate work force availability including holidays, absenteeism and disciplinary issues
- Set production objectives in line with the Operations Management
- Update Operations Manager on production activities and issues
- Communicate KPI information to the production team and ensure targets are met
- Guarantee adherence to production processes, specifications and quality management systems
- Generate NCR's (Non-Conformance Reports) where required
- Ensure maintenance and calibration controls of all equipment is carried out in line with company policies
- Assist in Continuous Improvements activities
About You:
- Sound knowledge of managing a machine shop environment
- Previous experience of production leadership
- Ability to implement and develop LEAN procedures
- Previous experience of working in a complicated manufacturing environment
- Computer literate
