Hays Education are proud to be working exclusively with a school in the S8 area of Sheffield to supply regular teaching staff across all year groups.
Your new company

To support their growing intake of students, the school requires support for daily supply teaching and are looking to expand their bank of regular supply staff.
Your new role
As a member of our team, you would work closely with your consultant to ascertain if this is the right school for you, but also to look at the many options we have for you. On a day-to-day basis, your duties will include;

  • Covering classes from EYFS up to KS2 in the absence of the class teacher
  • Delivering engaging pre-planned lessons
  • Liaising with other members of staff
  • Supporting and modelling excellent behaviour in and around school
  • Managing students' behaviour
  • Creating an exciting and dynamic learning environment
  • Fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all

What you'll need to succeed
The school are incredibly supportive of their staff and want everyone to succeed in their time with them. There are ample opportunities for work to be extended if you have the desire to learn and grow. The right candidates for this role would:

  • Show a keen interest in progressing with their career
  • Have QTS or be an ECT
  • Have classroom experience, either paid or placement
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
  • Have availability during the week
  • Be a strong communicator and innovative thinker
