About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a vibrant and forward-thinking school in Sheffield starting September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a dynamic music department committed to delivering high-quality music education and fostering a love for music among students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective music lessons to students across various age groups.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage students' musical development through practical and theoretical lessons.
• Organize and lead extra-curricular music activities, including choirs, bands, and school performances.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a cohesive music curriculum.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Music or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of music theory and practice.
• Experience teaching music at the primary or secondary level is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A passion for music education and a commitment to student development.
