Your responsibilities will include pre-employment health screening, ongoing health surveillance, and promoting well-being. Working both independently and as part of a small, in-house nurse-led occupational health team, you’ll ensure that employees stay fit and healthy during their careers and into retirement.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings for employees and contractors.
  • Provide pre-employment health checks and ongoing health surveillance.
  • Promote health and wellness within the workforce.
  • Work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
About You:
  • Registered General Nurse (on the NMC register).
  • Experience in an Occupational Health setting or GP practice.
  • Skilled in health surveillance relevant to Occupational Health.
  • Strong administrative, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in IT programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH certificate.
  • Leadership or management qualifications.
  • Experience working in a screening nurse role in industry.
  • NHS experience.
  • Skills in drug screen testing and DSE assessment training.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety environments and electronic health records.
  • Ability to create and present health promotion materials.
