Join a fantastic charity in this pivotal role as an Appeal Coordinator. This contract position is crucial for supporting the management and activity planning of a major new appeal aimed at raising significant income to enhance services provided by the charity! Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage the appeal prospects portfolio, including research, due diligence checks, profiles development, and relationship management plans.
  • Coordinate the appeal plan, covering all aspects of both the private and public fundraising phases, focusing on the public launch in June.
  • Support the Appeal Board with communication, prospecting, and donor management planning, under the guidance of the Appeal Advisor and Deputy CEO.
  • Serve as the primary contact for public appeal inquiries and coordinate supportive fundraising activity across internal teams.
  • Develop personalized stewardship plans and establish systems to collate information about prospective and current major donors, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Assist in appeal event activities, including planning, communication, and coordination of guests, and attend events as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in planning and coordinating a range of activities, ideally within the charity sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and be part of a 'One Team' culture.
  • Capable of managing own workload and priorities to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Passionate about improving the lives of people living with and beyond cancer in South Yorkshire.
