Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: Sheffield (S9)

Salary: £95 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Sheffield. Whether you’re available for full-time or part-time roles, this position offers flexibility to suit your schedule.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity in the classroom by delivering lessons in the absence of teachers. This is an ideal opportunity for confident, adaptable individuals who enjoy working with young people and thrive in a classroom environment. Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-set lesson plans to classes across various subjects and year groups as a Cover Supervisor.
Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure school policies are followed.
Assist students with their learning and respond to their queries.
Provide feedback to teachers on lesson coverage and student engagement.
Adapt to different subjects and schedules as required by the school.

Requirements:

Experience working with young people in any capacity is preferred.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Confidence to lead and manage a classroom effectively.
A proactive and flexible approach to work.
An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
