Job Title: Temporary Cover SupervisorsLocation: SheffieldCompany: Hays EducationJob Description:Hays Education is working exclusively with a number of reputable schools in Sheffield to place ad hoc members of staff as Cover Supervisors. We are seeking experienced individuals who can step in and manage classrooms effectively, ensuring a smooth continuation of students' learning in the absence of their regular teachers.As a cover supervisor, no two days are the same. You will cover a variety of lessons across the national curriculum, where pre-set work will be provided for students. You will be their point of contact for any queries, ensuring that they are staying focused on the task in hand.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
- Ensure students remain on task with the work set by the absent teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Provide support and guidance to students as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar capacity within education.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
