We are looking for a dedicated Homemaker to join our Supported Housing team. This role is essential in delivering a high-quality housing function to our Temporary Accommodation Service Users and Furnished Accommodation tenants. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our services.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide exceptional customer care and service.
  • Drive various vehicles, including those up to a 7.5-tonne limit.
  • Clean properties to a high standard and deliver furniture citywide.
  • Fit curtains, poles, tracks, and blinds, as well as perform gardening tasks.
  • Assist in the management of stock and handle abandoned furniture.
  • Recycle, sanitise, and clean pre-used goods, including upholstery and carpets.
  • Collect customer feedback and collate photographic and written evidence to highlight any breach of Tenancy Agreement.
  • Conduct P.A.T testing and assist in the safe management of goods in and out of the warehouse.
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift truck for pallet stacking.
  • Assist in the management of health and safety procedures and perform administrative duties.
  • Conduct stock auditing and provide cover for other Supported Housing; Senior Housing Officers and Housing Officers as needed.
  • Be willing to attend responsibilities outside normal office hours when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Ability to drive vehicles up to a 7.5-tonne limit (appropriate driving licence required).
  • Competence in cleaning and maintaining properties to a high standard.
  • Practical skills for fitting curtains and performing minor home repairs.
  • Basic gardening skills.
  • Experience in stock management and handling goods.
  • Familiarity with health and safety procedures.
  • Administrative skills and proficiency in stock auditing.
  • Forklift truck operation skills (certification may be required).
  • Flexibility to cover for other team members and work outside normal office hours when necessary.
