About the Role

We are seeking a passionate IT Teacher to join one of the schools we proudly support in Sheffield. This long-term role is set to begin in March, covering the school's IT teaching needs. The school is a purpose-built specialist academy and sixth form, providing students with a diverse range of academic and technical pathways, including Computing, Health Sciences & Social Care, and Sport Science.

As an IT Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in programming, computing, and digital technologies.
  • Prepare engaging and effective lesson plans for students in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and post-16 education.
  • Support students pursuing various GCSE, A Level, and technical qualification pathways.
  • Promote skill development in areas like coding, database management, and networking.
  • Work closely with colleagues to foster a positive and innovative learning environment.

Requirements for the IT Teacher Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Proven experience teaching IT in secondary schools.
  • Strong knowledge of computing curricula, particularly at GCSE and A Level.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • A passion for IT and the ability to inspire students in this subject.
