Role: Payroll, Pensions and Systems Lead

Location: Sheffield - Hybrid working

Type: Please note there is a permanent role and an interim role available

Salary: £45k to £55k

Day rate: £300 to £370 per day

Sellick Partnership are looking to appoint to a Payroll, Pensions and Systems Lead for our Public Sector client based in Sheffield.

Job Purpose:

  • Strategic lead for Payroll, Pensions and Systems
  • To provide assurance around the viability of the Payroll, Pensions and System Management functions
  • Ensuring the Payroll, Pensions and Systems support services are delivered in line with the organisations regulations

Main responsibilities for the Payroll, Pensions and Systems Lead:

  • Management of all aspects of payroll, pensions and systems management
  • Ensuring compliance with the necessary Employment and Pensions related Taxation and other Statutory obligations
  • Strategic Lead on Taxation and providing technical advice to the Senior Command team
  • Responsible for the Taxation advisory contract
  • Lead subject matter for the Oracle ERP system
  • Manage and lead on the contractual relationships
  • Producing reports
  • Act as a Strategic Business Partner for internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for the timely support to internal audit reviews
  • Line Management

Person Specification for the Payroll, Pensions and Systems Lead:

  • CCAB Accountancy or Payroll (CIPP or CIPD) qualification
  • Substantial Payroll and/or Pensions experience
  • Extensive leadership and managerial experience
  • Experience of managing, challenging, and advising senior leaders
