Your new companyHays are recruiting a Senior Finance and Payroll Officer for a permanent role based in Sheffield. This role is an immediate start subject to interview, with interviews set to take place WC 23rd Sept. The role is crucial in delivering financial services, collaborating with the finance business partner to ensure accurate and timely accounting, and leading a small team to improve processes. Responsibilities include managing financial ledgers, maintaining fixed asset registers, supporting the production of management and statutory accounts, overseeing monthly payroll, ensuring HMRC compliance, handling supplier payments, and managing expenses.Your new role

  • Oversee a small payroll finance team - covering payroll for 250 employees
  • Applying and approving knowledge of payroll teams, streamlining their current process
  • Provide support and teaching to team members
  • Contributing to management accounts, forecasts and budgets for your department - working with the finance business partner, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Support end of year audit
